새로운 비판이론을 위하여 - 임계적 인식론
이 글은 비판 개념을 세 가지로 나누면서 시작된다. 한계, 경계, 임계가 그것이다. 그 중에서도 이 글은 타자 중심적 비판 개념으로서 임계 개념에 주목하여, 새로운 비판이론의 출발점을 마련한다. 임계적 비판은 파편화되어 있고, 혼종적이어서 제대로된 비판의 위력 을 발휘하기는 어려우나, 일단 그 힘이 제대로 발휘되기만 하면, 기존 구조와 질서를 전복 시킬 수 있다. 이를 위해 이 글은 우선 임계의 자리가 왜 파편화될 수밖에 없는지, 그리고 그 파편화된 인식이 사회이론과 어떻게 관계를 맺게 되는지를 살펴본다. 변역과 번역은 이 러한 파편성이 제 모습을 찾을 수 있도록 돕는다. 계속해서 이 글은 임계의 자리에서 비판 적 사상을 펼친 대표적 사상가들의 입장을 살펴보면서, 이들의 비판이 어떻게 임계의 특성 을 가지는지 그 공통점을 추출한다. 끝으로 이 글은 임계적 인식이 취약한 존재와 관련될 수밖에 없음을 보여주고, 새로운 비판사회이론이 바로 이 취약한 임계의 지점에서 새롭게 출발해야 한다고 주장한다.
Toward New Critical Theory - Primary Critical Epistemology
This essay divides the concept of criticism into three categories. It is the limit, boundary, and criticality. Among them, this essay founds the starting point of a new critical theory by paying attention to the concept of criticality as an other-centered critical concept. Critical criticism is fragmented and hybrid, so it is difficult to exert the power of criticism properly, but once the power is properly exercised, it can subvert the existing structure and order. To this end, this essay first examines why the position of critical criticism is inevitably fragmented, and how the fragmented recognitions is related to social theory. Transition and translation help these fragmented recognitions come into theirs own shape. Continuing, this essay surveys the positions of representative thinkers who developed critical thoughts in the critical position, and extracts the common of their critical positions. Finally, this essay shows that critical recognition is inevitably related to the vulnerable, and argues that a new critical social theory should start at this critical places that the vulnerable live in.
